Equine Science students care for horses and horse equipment, feed, groom and exercise animals. In addition, they learn stable management, how to give primary care and attention to horses, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, first aid, rehabilitation of injuries, breeding, foaling, shoeing, farm management and other aspects of the equine industry. Students travel to the Warren County Fairgrounds for part of the day to work with horses.

Students are encouraged to take post secondary education in veterinary medicine or equine dentistry. Internships, job placement Seniors may be eligible for early job placement the second half of the school year. Criteria for placement include instructor recommendation, grade point average and attendance.
