Basic Students in the Fire Science/EMT program prepare for a career in the emergency services and public safety fields. This two-year, intensive program provides the necessary information, training and skill development to enable students at age 18 to take state and national certification exams for Firefighter Level II and Emergency Medical Technician Basic.

Students will have the opportunity to be certified in Cardiopulmonary Resusitation, First Aid, Basic Emergency Medical Technician and Firefighter II. Once the student reaches 18 years of age and has completed the program requirements successfully, he or she may take the National Registry Exam for Fire Science and EMT Basic. Internships, job placement WCCC and the Warren County Fire Chief’s Association have developed a partnership to offer opportunities to successful completers. Rigorous clinical internships will enable students to experience the real-life challenges of this field.
